Jun 03, 2014 | New York and Sunnyvale, CA
Delivers next-gen user experience, both in cloud and on-premise, with new secure mobile collaboration app, and expanded ecosystem
Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, today announced major new innovations that change the mobile experience for the end user, IT and line of business leaders. The new Good secure mobile collaboration app delivers a next-gen mobile business experience. Designed with a contextual, more personalized user experience, the new Good solution can be deployed via cloud, on premise or hybrid, providing flexible deployment options for organizations of all sizes. The company also announced the Good for Salesforce1 mobile app, a new Trusted Authentication Framework, and an expanded Good-secured partner ecosystem. The announcements are being made today from Good Exchange in New York, the company’s annual conference that gathers mobile industry leaders.
Delivering Fast, Intuitive End User Experience with the New Good Secure Mobile Collaboration App
The Good secure mobile collaboration app provides secure email, messaging, contacts, calendar, document management and browsing, bringing all relevant information business users need into one place. Users can now easily navigate across enterprise apps and tasks – with no compromise to data security. The Good secure mobile collaboration app also delivers the industry’s first contextual mobile experience, where users are presented with personalized information based on their activities and contacts, such as custom alerts. The Good app is built on the Good Dynamics® Secure Mobility Platform and offers a rich set of services through the Good-secured ecosystem such as secure printing and document archiving. Using the Good Dynamics services architecture, the new Good app is the first to integrate mobile presence, pulling in current status information from Good Connect™ or Microsoft Lync and ensuring that reaching out to colleagues is quick and natural.
“We’re setting a new benchmark for the enterprise mobile experience. Businesses of all sizes, industries and requirements want their employees to move faster and make decisions wherever they are,” said Christy Wyatt, Chairman and CEO of Good Technology. “The Good Dynamics platform, new Good app and broad partner ecosystem empower organizations to mobilize their business with a best-in-class usability experience, from the cloud or on-premise, without compromising security.”
The new Good app will be available for beta beginning June 30.
Delivering a Better Experience for IT with Flexible Deployment and Authentication Options
As companies move to the cloud, they are looking for a fast, convenient way to adopt business mobility. The new Good app will be available via the cloud as well as on premise. Now small and mid-sized organizations can enjoy the same enterprise-grade security thousands of global organizations count on, but with the ease and simplicity of a cloud deployment. For individual business professionals, Good also announced the commercial availability of Good Pro™, a secure cloud-based messaging app introduced earlier this year.
“With the rapidly changing environment of enterprise mobility, IT and business units are looking for a unified approach to secure mobile collaboration,” said Chris Hazelton, research director of mobile and wireless at 451 Research. “Bringing together multiple apps into one contextual experience will increase organizational collaboration and provide true mobile productivity."
IT organizations are also looking for flexibility in utilizing the variety of technologies available for identity management. To address this, Good also announced the Good Trusted Authentication Framework that offers customers enhanced mobile security through new, innovative authentication methods. Smart cards, tokens and even biometrics can now be used in concert with the Good solution from partners such as Biometrics Associates, EyeVerify, Intercede, Mi-Token and Precise Biometrics.
Providing Line of Business Leaders with the Mobile Apps to Drive Even More Productivity
Line of business leaders are looking to further mobilize their business units to drive employee productivity and customer engagement. To address one of the most critical business processes, Good is introducing the Good for Salesforce1 app. Good for Salesforce1 brings together the leading mobile CRM app with the market’s leading secure container. This unique offering enables IT departments to accelerate Salesforce1 Mobile App deployments company-wide, while complying with highly-regulated security requirements to protect sensitive corporate data on personal smartphones and tablets.
In addition, Good announced a host of new ecosystem partners that are leveraging the Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform to address specific needs for joint customers through secure mobile apps. New partners announced today include AirPatrol, CellTrust, Code Red, Infraware Polaris Office and InterPro, delivering enhanced functionality ranging from secure SMS and secure research management access to more sophisticated document editing and collaboration.
With the announcement of the industry’s first mobile presence service, Good is launching its first server-based shared service within the Good Dynamics platform that ecosystem partners can now leverage. BoardPad, an industry-leading meeting and document collaboration solution in the Good-secured ecosystem that transforms directors’ devices into highly secure digital board and meeting packs, is integrating presence to provide enhanced communication and status awareness between users. Presence information within BoardPad for Good informs users of availability of other meeting participants, updated live, with information supplied by Good Connect and Microsoft Lync.
