Leading iPad annotation app built on Good Dynamics enables secure document editing and sharing for joint customers

Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, and Branchfire, Inc. today announced a new version of iAnnotate PDF for Good, the award-winning productivity app for iPad. Offering powerful new features that make it simple for business professionals to securely read, edit and share sensitive business documents, iAnnotate for Good leverages the Good Dynamics® secure development framework to deliver enterprise-grade security with the simplicity and flexibility of a consumer app.

“iAnnotate for Good gives today’s mobile workforce the productivity tools they need on the go, while giving companies peace of mind that critical business information is protected,” said Ravi Bhatt, CEO of Branchfire. “We are happy to be partnering with Good Technology to help Fortune 500 companies and the public sector work smarter.”

For Good’s ISV partners, leveraging Good Dynamics to build and deploy apps speeds delivery and ensures industry-leading levels of protection and compliance are integrated at the application level. Additionally, ISV partners are able to create additional market opportunities by developing applications compatible with Good’s exclusive application-to-application encrypted tunneling technology, enabling secure mobile workflows for joint customers.

“We’re thrilled to offer joint customers the benefit of iAnnotate, one of the top productivity apps in the world, built on Good’s industry-leading secure development platform,” said Herve Danzelaud, Vice President of Alliances at Good Technology. “iAnnotate for Good is a great example of a powerful, flexible tool that doesn’t compromise on functionality, while offering the enterprise-grade security that today’s enterprises have come to expect from Good.”

iAnnotate for Good supports organizations looking to empower employees to leverage the mobile devices of their choice without sacrificing security. Key features available in the latest edition of iAnnotate PDF for Good include:

  • Secure Markup and Sharing – secure sharing is made possible through iAnnotate’s built-in “Send to GFE” command, which allows users to send documents to co-workers via the Good for Enterprise® messaging client. In addition, FIPS-certified crypto libraries secure sensitive data while people work on documents within iAnnotate. Connectivity to sources like third-party cloud storage, WebDAV and standard e-mail are disabled for added security.
  • Improved Navigation Panel – provides quick access to common actions like reviewing annotations or document bookmarks. This allows users to double-check documents efficiently without interrupting their workflow.
  • One-step Search – allows users to search for and view all instances of a keyword across professional documents. Results are listed in the side navigation panel, enabling users to view each mention within the document without having to re-run the search.
  • Two Finger Scrolling – enables users to quickly shift between marking up and moving around a document. One finger activates the selected tool, such as a highlighter, stamp or freehand pencil; two fingers navigate the document without making a mark.
