Good Technology Positioned in Leaders Quadrant of Leading Analyst Firm's Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Wireless E-Mail

The Gartner Magic Quadrant is a graphical representation of a marketplace at and for a specific time period. It depicts Gartner's analysis of how certain vendors measure against criteria for that marketplace, as defined by Gartner. According to Gartner's "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Wireless Email Market" report, "vendors classified as Leaders have seen continuous growth in their installed bases of wireless email gateways and subscribers. They are the subjects of most inquiries from Gartner clients about wireless email product strategy and selection. Leaders have established positions in several areas of technology, and pursue innovation in areas related to wireless email product features and services. They are good at communicating the value of their offerings, have a wide geographical presence, and have extensive plans for sales and distribution. Comments from clients must point to a high degree of satisfaction with the level of support provided, and to operational excellence."
According to a recent customer survey conducted by Good Technology, 72 percent of respondents were already formally supporting "bring your own device" (BYOD) programs, with another 19 percent indicating that they were either planning to support within the next 6-12 months or were considering, but did not have a specific timeframe for support. The survey findings also indicate that large-to-very-large enterprises dominate the current BYOD landscape, with 81 percent of respondents having more than 2,000 employees, nearly 60 percent having more than 5,000 employees, and 35 percent having more than 10,000 employees. These large to very large organizations came mostly from the financial services and healthcare industries—two information-driven sectors that face complex regulatory, security, and compliance requirement that make data security is paramount.
