Good Enhances Application Distribution and Mobile Device Management Features for Good for Enterprise

Redwood Shores, CA — Jun 28, 2011 — Good Technology, the leader in secure multiplatform enterprise mobility, today announced enhanced Enterprise Application Distribution and Mobile Device Management (MDM) support for Apple® iPhone®, iPod Touch®, iPad™, and Android™-enabled devices in the company's flagship Good for Enterprise product. These enhanced features, available for iOS 4 and Android 2.2 and higher, will provide Good's customers with even more options to secure and manage the distribution of their most mission-critical enterprise applications, data, and documents.

Enterprise Application Distribution
With the rapid emergence of tablets based on the iOS and Android platforms, the ability to securely manage and distribute enterprise apps is more important than ever. With Good for Enterprise's enhanced app distribution and management features for iOS and Android, IT departments can now extend these capabilities to the most popular tablet and smartphone platforms. Mobile users can view, download, and receive updates to deployed enterprise apps.

Mobile Device Management
Good Technology has enhanced its current Mobile Device Management features to offer additional iOS 4 management features, and added support for Android 2.2 and higher. Combined with Good Mobile Messaging and Good Mobile Access, this will enable IT to easily support both Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and company-owned device programs with a single, secure solution for messaging, Intranet access, and enterprise app distribution that doesn’t require the deployment of a separate MDM platform or complex mobile VPN infrastructure.

The Enterprise Application Distribution and MDM features for iOS and Android 2.2 and higher are available at no additional charge to all Good for Enterprise customers with a valid support and maintenance agreement.

Use of the Good for Enterprise – iOS and Good for Enterprise – Android app requires a Good for Enterprise server and client access license (CAL). Mobile users should contact their IT administrator for a username and password. The Good for Enterprise application will not operate without the necessary back-end software.
